What Does Frosted Windows Indicate?

When I was a child, I had the habit of drawing on the frosted windows of my house. Though it was fun during my childhood later I came to know there are many problems created by this frost on the windows. Frost is formed due to the two different temperatures on either side of the window glass which will cause the cold air to condense.

When the temperature becomes warm, then the water will seep into the walls and window panes which will decrease the durability and quality of both. There are many factors that leads to frosting windows. The main reasons though are severe cold climate or increased humidity levels inside the house which might be due to cooking or in houses with more members. In such cases using Dehumidifiers is the best solution.

I place heaters in the rooms and use the weather stripping chalk over the windows in order to avoid frost in my house. This frost increases the chill in the house which in turn will decrease the temperature of the house. Since my home is an old one, I replaced all the windows with new ones and they were with a low thermal transfer which made my house warm during the winter times. Frost can be a major factor that will be making the replacement of windows compulsory for a specified period of time if quality windows are not used during construction
